A Special Tribute
Legacy, Love & the Charecters That Live On
This page is dedicated to the life, love, and legacy behind the story of Trilbi Small. At the heart of this book is a deeper story. A tribute to a son who inspired strength, creativity, and completion. This is for Dion Betts… and for every reader who’s ever found healing through fiction.

In Loving Memory of Dion Betts

The spark to finish Trilbi Small: Attorney at Law – Desperate came from an unexpected place...grief. After the sudden loss of her son Dion, Diedra found the courage and clarity to bring her story to life and publish it as part of her healing journey.
Dion was more than a son; he was a creative visionary who inspired Diedra’s passion to leave a legacy. A song written and produced by Dion plays in the official book trailer, forever tying his gift to Trilbi’s story.
“His music lives. His spirit moves. His legacy is now on the page.”
🕊️ A Note to Dion – From Your Brother
To my brother, friend, and business partner from boys to men we’ve seen life together. We worked hard and played harder. We laughed more than anything. We are more than Tha Reella...we are brothers.
When your G babies are old enough, I promise to tell them some of our crazy stories. I promise to be a good uncle to Marchelle and your G babies. I can't believe you’re gone, but God has called you home.
I'm glad we always told each other that we loved each other and laughed before ending each call. We planned a lot of things and no matter how long it takes, it will get done.
You always wanted the best for people, stayed working on your craft, stayed looking fly, and you left your mark here on earth.
One of my favorite memories was us at 19 years old, calling every record company until we met with MCA Records. We showed up in trench coats and briefcases with a demo tape you recorded in your room. I will always have the vision of us confident young men just wanting to make it in life.
So many funny Christmas stories, late-night creeps as teens, studio sessions for close to 30 years...bro, we did that. Memories over money.
Love you, bro. On My Reella G Smooth to the Izzo…
